Foot & Ankle Surgeon – Plattsburgh, NY


The Department of Orthopedics and Rehabilitation at The University of Vermont Health Network is seeking a skilled Foot and Ankle Surgeon for a full-time position at our Champlain Valley Physician’s Hospital in Plattsburgh, New York. This role requires a strong background in orthopedic surgery, excellent surgical skills, and a commitment to patient care & safety.


Qualifications: 

  • MD or DO degree
  • Board certification or eligibility in Orthopedic Surgery
  • Completion of an accredited Foot & Ankle Orthopedic Fellowship Program.
  • Valid and unrestricted NY license (or ability to obtain post hire)
  • Familiarity with EPIC platform is preferred.


Responsibilities:

  • Conduct physical examinations of the feet and lower extremities
  • Development treatment plans, which may include prescribing medications, orthotics, or surgical interventions
  • Performing surgical procedures such as arthroscopy, joint replacement, and corrective surgeries
  • Diagnosing, treating, and managing a wide range of foot and ankle disorder injuries
  • Educate patients on their conditions, treatment options, and preventative measures.
  • Participate in a 1:5 call coverage
