Job Description

Internal Medicine Physician 

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Internal Medicine Physician to join our dedicated medical team. As an Internal Medicine Physician at our clinic, you will provide comprehensive medical care to adult patients, focusing on diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of a wide range of complex medical conditions. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical histories, physical examinations, and diagnostic evaluations. 

  • Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions, tailoring treatment plans to each patient's unique needs. 

  • Oversee an average of 14-16 patients per day, adjusting based on case complexity and medical requirements. 

  • Utilize your expertise to deliver patient-centered care, emphasizing disease prevention and health promotion. 

  • Collaborate effectively with specialists and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient management. 

  • Communicate clearly and empathetically with patients, explaining diagnoses, treatment options, and expected outcomes. 

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records. 

  • Work efficiently within a 4-day patient-facing schedule and allocate 1 day for administrative tasks, with some schedule flexibility. 

  • Uphold the highest ethical standards and patient confidentiality. 

Qualifications: 

  • Board certification as an MD or DO in Internal Medicine. Family Medicine physicians with a strong interest in Internal Medicine are encouraged to apply. 

  • Medical license in Vermont, unrestricted and in good standing. 

  • Ability to manage complex medical cases and make sound clinical judgments. 

  • Committed to practicing evidence based medicine and providing high quality care. 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 

  • Compassionate and patient-focused approach to healthcare. 

  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic clinical environment. 

  • Familiarity with electronic medical record systems.
