The University of Vermont Health Network is seeking board-certified/board-eligible Emergency Medicine Physicians to join our growing team.
The Department of Emergency Medicine provides clinical coverage at hospital sites across the University of Vermont Health Network in Vermont and upstate New York and is driven by a commitment to rural acute care delivery. Our sites range from an academic tertiary care, level 1 trauma center to busy community settings to small town critical access hospitals with solo coverage. Many of our physicians choose to provide clinical coverage at multiple sites and find that the diversity of settings, collaborative relationships, and skill retention that come with this model promote satisfaction and longevity in their careers.
Clinical opportunities may be available at the University of Vermont Medical Center (UVMMC); Central Vermont Medical Center (CVMC); or Porter Medical Center (PMC). Our physicians work alongside highly skilled physician assistants and have opportunities for bedside teaching of emergency medicine residents and medical students from the University of Vermont. Candidates may have opportunities to get involved in multidisciplinary education, quality improvement, point-of-care ultrasound, EMS direction, simulation, and innovations in care delivery. Both clinical and scholarly appointments may be available through the Larner College of Medicine at the University of Vermont.
