Family Medicine Physician – Berlin, Vermont                        

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Family Medicine Physician to join our dynamic medical team. Practice family medicine as it was designed to be: provide continuing, comprehensive health care for individuals and families as a member of our vibrant Vermont community.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough patient evaluations, medical histories, and physical examinations.
  • Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions, ranging in complexity.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that encompass medical, lifestyle, and preventative measures.
  • Manage an average of 14-16 patients per day, adjusting based on the complexity of cases.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in patient-centered communication and provide clear explanations of diagnoses, treatment options, and expected outcomes.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary medical teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records.
  • Typical schedule: four 8-hour clinic days and one administrative day.
  • Participate in continuous medical education to stay current with advancements in medical knowledge and practices.
  • Uphold the highest ethical standards and maintain patient confidentiality.
  • 1:5 weekday, 1:16 weekend call (Outpatient only)
  • Opportunity to engage in teaching medical students

Qualifications:

  • Board certification as an MD or DO in Family Medicine.
  • Valid and unrestricted medical license in Vermont.
  • Passion and ability to care for patients of all ages from birth to death.
  • Strong clinical acumen and diagnostic skills.
  • Competency in outpatient family medicine procedures such as skin biopsies and LARCs.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Compassionate and patient-centered approach to healthcare.
  • Commitment to lifelong learning and professional development.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team-based care model.
  • Adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced clinical environment.
