The University of Vermont Medical Center is recruiting a Structural Heart Fellow for July 1, 2024- June 31, 2025. The Structural Heart Program at the University of Vermont serves the entire state of Vermont as well as the Adirondack region of New York with a consistent high volume of consults, procedures (including over 300 TAVR per year) and structural heart patient management. The Heart Team is collaborative and includes a dedicated valve clinic with CT surgery-Interventional Cardiology participation. The UVM Structural Heart program will train the candidate in patient selection, follow up and technical aspects of 3 different TAVR valves, as well as mitral TEER, TMVR, PFO/ASD, LAA and paravalvular leak closures. In addition, the trainee will participate in clinical trial research of novel structural heart devices and have the opportunity to participate in multicenter registry research. The ideal candidate will be fully trained in general cardiology and interventional cardiology in ACGME accredited programs and be board eligible in both fields.
