Job Description

The Department of Family Medicine at the University of Vermont Larner College of Medicine and The University of Vermont Medical Center is seeking a board certified/eligible family physician for an academic urgent care position. Urgent Care is the only acute care center at The University of Vermont Medical Center and serves an essential role in access for Medical Group and community patients. Experience in quality improvement projects and teaching is highly desirable. The select candidate will join a busy and collegial program.

Position Details:

  • Appointment at the University of Vermont will be at the Assistant/Associate Professor level (1.0 FTE) in the Clinical Scholar Pathway commensurate with experience
  • Clinical focus and experience in the areas of urgent care, procedures, and teaching will be influential in the selection
  • Our faculty participates with teaching in our family medicine residency education program and our medical student educational programs
  • Our 6:6:6 residency program is fully accredited

Requirements: 

  • Priority will be given to applicants who have experience providing family medicine clinical services in an academic setting
